To many, music helps them relax, zone out from the world, forget their problems, and have some “me” time. For others, music is a part of their lives— either as a source of income, a career, or a deeply loved hobby.

We can all agree that the world is better with some sounds, songs, and melodies. It refreshes the mind and brings back life to the soul. If you are one of the people who have high regard for the creation of music, then why not create your own music nook at home or dedicate a room for the craft you love?

We are here to help you with interior design ideas and neon signs. Let us create music nooks and awaken your rhythm-loving soul!

What Is A Music Nook, And Why Should You Have One?

First, let us look at the many reasons why having a music room or corner is a welcome addition to occupy empty spaces.

You Have a Place to Look Forward Going Home to

You had a long day at work, which is not only physically draining but also drains the creativity and calmness of the mind. Rejuvenate and let your mind have its most deserved relaxation by spending time inside your music nook, which can be a dedicated separate room or just your own room.

You can light up a neon LED light to get your creative ideas flowing, and if you are a fan of The 1975, then, The 1975’s neon signs are the decorations for you! Pick a piece of soulful music from them or any of your favorite songs, close your eyes, forget the pressures of the world, and savor the relaxing moment.

Inspiration for Lyrics Writing and Music Composition

Are you a songwriter, a musical director, a music engineer, a singer, or a music lover? Find inspiration and rouse your creativity in the comforts of your home by having your own music room. Aside from the complete musical instrument and tools, you can create an ambiance that will turn on originality, innovation, and vision by literally plugging in a neon LED light!

From a bland lit room, your nook will be filled with rays of red, orange, pink, blue, purple, and green illuminating from a neon sign. Get your mixer, paper, and pen ready— artistic ideas are about to flow!

A Place to Jam with Family and Friends

While there are moments where you want to be left alone with your musical instruments, tunes, and songs inside your music room, there are also moments to socialize and bring in your family and friends to jam.

Get the jamming started with a space that is lit with neon signs! Bring out the guitars, beatboxes, keyboards, drumset, and violins, and let harmony and songs fill the room. The rainbow colors will add to the jam vibe you and your group already have. The lights will serve as keys to open your creative mind to produce heartfelt music and lyrics.

A Studio Where Everyone Feels at Ease

If you make music for a living and have your professional studio at home or as an established business, draw away from the usual On Air signs and level up using neon signs related to music. Instead of the red light color from the On Air sign inside the studio, fill the room with exciting rainbow colors. Doing so will make each workday a joyful sight. The groups and individuals who come to your studio to record will feel more at ease instead of being nervous because of the lively colors.

If you own these high-value items, make sure to highlight them by adding a neon sign light to the area where they are kept. In that way, you and visitors will easily see the musical treasures.

Add Colorful Light Reflection to Your Music Mixer

Do not let the corner where you put your music mixer be dark or be lit with regular light. This area is like a magical place where all your works and clever ideas come to life. Light it with neon LED lights from our collections instead. The lighting will accentuate your mixer because of the colors. Neon and artwork can almost go hand-in-hand; both are incredibly creative industries, with original ideas being brought to life through shape, design and color. Using neon can open up a whole world of opportunity to add something unique to your art, making it the perfect choice for an extraordinary addition to the decor in your home.

Combining the inimitable glow of neon with an eye-catching design can result in a beautiful piece of wall art for your home. So, if you’re looking for a distinctive way to decorate any room in your home, here is a guide to neon art and how to get it just right.

What neon art design should you choose?

Your home is a very personal space, so any type of wall art neon you choose to put up should reflect your personality and your family. By nature, neon signs are a statement piece, bringing light and colour to any room.

The possibilities are endless when it comes to choosing a neon sign design, especially because you can design your own! Our custom neon signs are a perfect reflection of who you are and your style. Custom made signs can be created to your exact size too, ensuring it perfectly fits in the space you have in mind.

By combining neon with a piece of art, you can ensure you have a modern design that makes full use of neon lighting.  Neon on print offers a contemporary background for a traditional neon sign. Choose a picture of you and your other half, a still from your favorite movie, or a pop art-inspired design to add some personality to the design.

Your neon on print design will arrive ready to hang, and simply just need to be plugged into a mains socket to turn on.

For something a little more rustic, we can also create neon on wooden panels. This fascinating combination of two very different materials can result in an eye-catching design for your home. The majority of neon signs are usually fitted to an acrylic panel or case, but a wooden backing can help to create a personal piece that is in keeping with the theme of your chosen room.

For a design with a real wow factor, neon mirror boxes can provide a unique product with an enhanced design. It is a novel idea, with a visually-striking effect as the neon works beautifully with the addition of a mirror. All the designs are etched on to the product with a laser, allowing you to customize the design to your specification.

So, whether you’re looking for the perfect artwork for your hallway, bedroom or kitchen, why not incorporate a neon sign into the idea? Get in touch with us today to talk about your ideas!

Neon signs first became popular in the early 1900s; it was in a barber shop in Paris that the first neon sign was displayed, in 1912. Neon quickly became a great choice for advertising businesses because of its visibility and visual impact, even in the daytime.

It wasn’t until the mid-1900s, between the 30s and 60s, when neon signs really had their time in the spotlight. This was the heyday of neon, with many businesses taking advantage of neon signage. Now, over the last few years, we’re seeing a huge resurgence in the use of neon signs. Similar to the revival of vinyl records, it seems the nostalgic effect of neon signs has made them trendy again.

Comeback of Neon

The neon industry is experiencing a huge comeback, with both commercial and domestic commissions being equally of interest to people. What’s more, neon is no longer just being used for advertising; instead being used for a variety of purposes in a number of different environments.

While the introduction of LED products has disgruntled the neon industry, those passionate about the neon industry continue to teach the public that LED and neon are completely different products, producing entirely separate results.

It seems that people still very much appreciate that neon is an art, and takes real craft and skill to create a neon sign. Even in today’s technology-driven world, neon signs are still entirely made by hand, with some help from the necessary equipment!

A passion for neon

Neon signage has such a visual impact that it’s no wonder there is a renewed passion for it across the country. From bars and restaurants to interior design of retail stores, and even in people’s living rooms, neon can be found very easily. No other material has such an attention-grabbing quality; neon has been used in signs for over 100 years, yet it still has such a fresh, modern appearance.

As neon continues to grow again, more and more people are looking for something unique and individual to their tastes and needs. Whether it’s for your home, place of work or even for an event, neon gives an extra special touch for both advertising and decorating. It’s this that drives such a passion for creating bright, authentic neon signs; the finished product has such a wow factor that it’s almost impossible to say you don’t want your own!

The public are continually finding new uses for neon; we are often commissioned with a huge variety of neon signs including window displays, feature lighting, props for TV sets and artwork for domestic use.

At Neonizeit, we pride ourselves on being able to transform logos and personal designs into truly unique neon lights.

Many of our customers approach us with their own design ideas or company logos, and ask our advice on making them into a neon sign. We work very closely with our customers and always give our honest opinion as to whether something will look good or not in neon. Please take a look at these examples of the original design that we were sent, and the finished sign:

Because of the nature of how a neon sign is made, there are some limitations as to what can or can’t be achieved and replicated. A neon sign starts its life as straight pieces of glass tubing, and is bent by hand into shape over a hot flame. Because of this, there are limitations on how small the letters or shapes can be made before they start to lose their definition.

As in the Friendz store example below, on the original drawing there are more words and two line breaks. Unless this sign had been made really big, then it wasn’t possible to make this part of the design. As you can see from the finished sign, we modified the design slightly, but this didn’t detract from the overall look of the sign.

With the ever ongoing battle of aesthetics on Instagram, everyone just seems to be opening a chest of all creative things from every era to get ahead on their #instaworthy feed game.

Neon Lights and neon signs used to be a staple for a century. It’s in every establishment. It made Las Vegas – duh – LAS VEGAS! It was what makes an arcade a gamer haven. It was EVERYWHERE.

“By the thirties, it sort of exploded,” says Jeff Friedman, with Let There Be Neon. “It’s everywhere.”

BUT! and unfortunately to that generation- a few years back, neon lights have faced a sad decline on demand – and a sad decline to ICONIC creativity in our book – as cheaper LED lights took over. And, that was also the day unicorns died. But we never lost hope that there will come a day that neon lights will shine again!

Thankfully! Those generations have lived long enough to witness its comeback! (Yas! Thank you social media and the never ending battle to be Instagram-worthy!) Neon is SOOOO back in the game that even big brands are banking on it’s aesthetic power to sell – best example would be the cosmetics and fashion industry!

“We’ve reached a point where the photo-based social network is dictating the experience of art itself”, Alyssa Bereznak recently noted on The Ringer,. Along with millennial pink walls and infinity mirror rooms, neon and LED installations have turned into convenient photo-ops for Instagrammers, and an easy way for gallery and festival curators to maximize their influence online. Not to mention in PHOTOGRAPHY TOO!

Once something comes up in Social Media, or becomes an Instagram trend, the next morning EVERYBODY ELSE IS DOING IT OR HAS IT. We’re not always about trends, I mean we can live without the lip fillers and contour… but we’re seriously sooo excited to see our favorite childhood thing come alive again! NEON LIGHTS!

Thanks to its divine aesthetic appeal – no exaggeration – Neon Lights are so back and it’s now invading every house hold as a staple piece.

‘The neon light trend has been shining bright for a good few seasons now and is certainly set to continue for Spring 2018, ‘ says Claire Woodward,  Senior Buyer of Lighting at Debenhams. At Neonize, it’s set to continue for a way longer period of time.

Neon lights for the home takes form of the ever popular Flamingo, Unicorn, a deep millennial quote typography. Check out some of our faves on Instagram!

Neon Lights just adds so much flare and personality to a space and we just love how it’s becoming more appealing to (cool) home owners too and not just establishments. It comes in Desktop and Wall-installed.

Aaand, it’s really like an Instagram badge of coolness. You can’t argue with Instagram.
